Blacksheep Power The concept of the Blacksheep is embedded in western thinking. Most sheep are white and follow one another. A black sheep is rare and frustratingly the Blacksheep also does not follow the herd. The term in English has a double meaning. Firstly the expression “blacksheep of the family” means the bad person in the family that somehow stands apart and does not follow convention. However it is also a term that generally means a person that does not follow convention. So most of the time, most people are white sheep. This is necessary for human society to function. However sometimes things need to change, and Blacksheep are needed to show others that it is time for change. A Blacksheep is usually initially rejected as wrong. However in human history almost all change has originally been catalysed by a Blacksheep who has turned out to be correct. The Power of the Blacksheep is the Power to change for better. Blacksheep in Vietnam Our CEO – Mr. Mark Gilligan has been amazed by what Vietnam can do and how Vietnam leads the world in a number of ways. However Vietnamese people are mostly quite unaware of the world outside its borders, so do not understand well their competitive strengths in the world arena. Vietnam is well positioned to make world leading products with world leading design and creative content. However almost all creative development in Vietnam is directed towards the Vietnamese local market. Blacksheep was formed with the intention of pioneering the development of Vietnamese designed, developed, manufactured and marketed cutting edge products with world leading performance and quality to be sold in global markets. Blacksheep As a first project, we are looking for a product that is easy for a Vietnamese person to understand but show what is necessary to make a world leading product that would be adopted in the most advanced markets. The idea of taking the Iconic Honda Cub and reimagining it as a cutting edge high performance electric motorbike. And we are moving forward to continue developing new projects which involved in mechanical, electronics and software. Thus Blacksheep Motors was formed.
