Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or equivalent hands-on competency.

- Preferred Certifications: AZ-500 (Azure Security), AZ-305 (Azure Architecture)

- Certified: Terraform Associate is an advantage.

Experience:

- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience operating, deploying, and troubleshooting Microsoft Azure

- Experience with cloud-native platforms (AKS, App Service, Azure Functions) or cloud migration projects is a plus

Other Requirements:

- Full-time role with occasional travel.

- Proactive mindset, self-motivated

- Good verbal and written English communication skills

  • JOB PURPOSE:

As our Asia Azure Cloud Engineer, you will join De Heus’s Regional IT team to execute, operate, and troubleshoot Microsoft Azure platform solutions for business units across Asia.

Working closely with Global & Regional Cloud Architecture teams, this position focuses on Deployment, Day-to-Day Operations, Infrastructure Automation (IaC), and Level 2/3 Troubleshooting. It is an ideal step for engineers seeking to elevate their cloud capabilities from local enterprise infrastructure to an international, regional scale.

  • ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Deployment & Operations (IaaS / PaaS)

- Provision, configure, and operate Azure resources (Virtual Machines, Networking, Hub-Spoke VPN/ExpressRoute, DNS, Load Balancers, Entra ID) based on technical designs from Global/Regional Architecture teams.

- Administer Azure subscriptions, Resource Groups, RBAC permissions, and Azure Policies in compliance with corporate governance standards.

2. Infrastructure Automation & CI/CD

Automate resource deployments using Infrastructure as Code tools (Bicep or Terraform), PowerShell/Azure CLI, and Azure DevOps pipelines to ensure consistent, repeatable environments.

3. Monitoring, Backup & Reliability

- Configure and monitor system health using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.

- Manage periodic Azure Backup, Disaster Recovery (DR) testing, and ensure services meet agreed SLA, RPO, and RTO targets.

4. Level 2/3 Troubleshooting & Incident Management

- CProvide Level 2/3 operational support to investigate and resolve system incidents promptly.

- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA), implement preventive fixes, and maintain technical runbooks and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

5. Security & FinOps Optimization

- Apply security controls via Microsoft Entra ID, Defender for Cloud, Key Vault, and Network Security Groups (NSGs) following Zero Trust principles.

- Monitor Azure usage and budget allocation, recommending cost-optimization actions (Savings Plans, Reservations, and resource rightsizing).

6. Regional & International Collaboration

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (App Development, Data, Security, and Local IT teams across Asia) to deliver seamless cloud solutions and knowledge transfer.
