As part of our vision, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Finance and Investment team as a Finance Controller. In this role, you will oversee and manage comprehensive finance operations, budgeting & forecasting, cost management, tax compliance, and reporting processes. Working closely with business units, financial teams, and regulatory bodies, you will ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data and compliance with applicable laws. Your mission will include but not limited to the followings: I. Accounting, Internal Control and Reporting - Control the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial, statutory and review financial statements in compliance with local VAS/IFRS standards. - Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audit processes. - Implement and standardize accounting procedures across all entities in the group. - Ensure the accuracy of account reconciliations and journal entries. - Develop effective asset management plans and minimize financial risks. - Fully and specifically identify the types of assets, assess the legality and current status of the assets. II. Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Management - Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process for business entities. - Manage and monitor cash flow and working capital to optimize financial efficiency; identify, manage, and mitigate financial and cash flow risks and capital structure. - Analyze financial variances, provide insightful recommendations, and deliver financial analysis/guidance on new investments or organization problems to improve operational performance, productivity, and drive cost control initiatives. III. Tax Compliance & Stakeholder Management - Partner with finance - accounting team to review all historical transactions and all assets, and plan to minimize tax risks. - Oversee and manage the preparation and submission of all applicable tax filings, tax declarations and reports. - Consult on tax related for the business and train for non-tax staff. - Coordinate with Legal team to ensure compliance with company policies, local and international tax regulations. - Liaise with tax authorities and external advisors on tax matters, including audits and inquiries. - Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and their implications for the business, communicate and ensure all entities are following latest updates. - Establish and implement processes and policies to ensure tax compliance. - Identify tax planning opportunities to optimize the company’s tax position. - Conduct tax audits and support external audits where necessary. - Manage corporate and personal income tax matters, including tax compliance for employees, the business owner, and other relevant individuals. Reporting - Coordinate with FP&A team to develop Tax & Finance reports: build and review monthly tax reports, providing dashboards’ viewers with informative comments on tax of the month. - Management reports as required.
