The Packaging Production Manager is accountable for the results of every packaging production line (cans, pails, boxes and ends) across our factories: output, delivery, quality, cost and safety. 1. Daily Production Operations - Run production to plan, so that every production order and delivery is on time. - Work with the Printing, Supply Chain and Warehouse departments so that materials, printed sheets and semi-finished goods reach the lines in the right quantity, to specification and on time. - Keep the lines running: work with the Technical department on breakdowns, maintenance and line improvements, and own the downtime result. - Build production data for every line that is accurate, on time and trusted: daily records, visual dashboards, and regular reviews that end in action. 2. Productivity & Waste Elimination - Set, track and deliver output, OEE, scrap and changeover targets for every packaging line, and review performance with the team every week. - Control scrap and material loss, tinplate usage above all; trace every loss to its root cause and remove it. - Standardize operating procedures (SOPs) for every process step, make sure they are followed on the line, and improve line layout to cut wasted motion. - Lead improvement projects whose savings are measured in money. 3. Labor & Labor Cost - Set headcount and deploy labor flexibly by skill and order demand. - Manage working hours and overtime within the norms and approved budget, and manage labor cost per unit of output. 4. Quality - Make sure every line's output meets specification at the process step, before it moves on or ships. - Lead root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) on customer complaints and internal non-conformances raised on the lines, and make sure each one is closed and does not recur. - Work with the Quality department on outgoing inspection and on handling defective goods. 5. Safety & 5S - Keep every line safe, with occupational safety, fire safety and production discipline enforced. - Maintain 5S and keep the production area ready for customer and certification audits at any time. 6. Team Development - Give every supervisor and team leader clear authority and clear KPIs, and review their performance regularly. - Build the team at every level: develop workers into team leaders and team leaders into supervisors, and hire from outside where a role needs it.
