What We're Looking For
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Apparel Manufacturing, Textile Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience in Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control within the apparel industry.
At least 3 years of leadership or people management experience.
Strong understanding of apparel manufacturing processes, including pattern making, cutting, sewing, garment construction, and finishing.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Willingness to travel extensively within Vietnam and the region, with travel accounting for more than 50% of working time.
Proficiency with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Gmail, etc.).
Highly Desired
Experience working with international brands, retailers, or sourcing organizations.
Knowledge of sustainability, compliance, and responsible sourcing programs.
Additional language skills in Vietnamese, Mandarin, or Cantonese.
Experience managing factory quality improvement and CAPA programs.

Part-Time Regional Quality Assurance Manager (Apparel)

The Opportunity
LRQA is seeking an experienced Part-Time Regional Quality Assurance Manager (Apparel) to support a key global client and lead their quality assurance operations across Asia, primarily in Vietnam.
This role combines hands-on quality management, factory engagement, team leadership, and supplier performance improvement. You will serve as the client's regional quality representative, ensuring products consistently meet quality standards, customer expectations, and manufacturing requirements throughout the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Leadership & Team Management
Act as the client's regional Quality Assurance representative and oversee QA activities across assigned production facilities.
Lead, mentor, and manage a local team of Quality Inspectors, providing coaching, performance feedback, and technical guidance.
Develop and implement quality assurance strategies, standards, and procedures to drive continuous improvement.
Inspection & Quality Control
Conduct independent inspections, factory visits, and quality audits.
Evaluate product quality throughout the manufacturing process, from raw materials to finished goods.
Assess and resolve quality issues, making informed decisions on product acceptance or rejection.
Review production samples, including PP samples, TOP samples, fabrics, trims, lab dips, and bulk submissions.
Supplier & Production Management
Collaborate closely with factories and vendors to address production challenges and quality concerns.
Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and monitor implementation effectiveness.
Promote best practices and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the supply chain.
Planning, Reporting & Communication
Manage weekly inspection schedules and coordinate activities with suppliers and factories.
Prepare, review, consolidate, and maintain inspection reports and quality records.
Monitor team budgets and expenses while ensuring operational efficiency.
Provide proactive updates to both the client and LRQA on quality issues, supply chain risks, service performance, and improvement activities.
Compliance & Sustainability
Support sustainability initiatives, certifications, and compliance requirements where applicable.
Stay informed of industry trends, quality standards, regulations, and emerging best practices within apparel manufacturing.
