• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean / Six Sigma: Formal training in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma, with in-depth understanding and hands-on application of Lean tools and methodologies.
• Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams.
• Language: Basic English communication skills.
• Teamwork: Strong coordination and teamwork skills within and across departments.
• Personal Attributes: Positive work attitude, strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Purpose of the job:
Lead day-to-day production operations to maximize productivity, ensure product quality and on-time delivery, and continuously reduce manufacturing costs.
Principal accountabilities/Main tasks:
• Productivity Management: Plan, monitor and improve production output across machining and inspection processes.
– Set maximum output targets for machine and inspection processes.
– Monitor actual output against target; analyze shortfalls and implement corrective actions.
– Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase production output.
– Review production logbooks on a daily basis.
• Quality Management & Production Yield: Ensure product quality and drive yield improvement.
– Monitor defect status on the production line (machining and inspection); analyze root causes and implement corrective actions.
– Develop detailed Work Instructions (WI) for machining processes.
– Train operators on new methods and improvements, and communicate defect status to all operators.
– Review and update QC limits at inspection to reduce defects.
– Prepare yield improvement reports and corrective action reports in response to customer complaints.
– Support the Product Development & Engineering (PRDE) team in sample builds.
• Manpower Management: Manage and develop the production workforce.
– Review manpower status daily and allocate personnel across all processes.
– Provide induction training for new employees.
– Evaluate operator performance for salary review and contract renewal decisions.
– Assess operator skills and maintain the skill matrix for all operators.
• Production Planning & Delivery: Ensure production schedules meet customer delivery requirements.
– Schedule machine and inspection activities in line with the delivery plan.
– Monitor material input status from Supply Chain Management (SCM) daily.
– Review the delivery plan daily and adjust the production plan as required.
• 5S/3D Control & Equipment Status: Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized workplace.
– Conduct daily 5S/3D checks across all production lines and follow up on required actions.
– Check machine status daily and resolve any issues that arise.
• Cost Control: Monitor and control consumables usage on the production line.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.
