Sea Freight Forwarding Executive (Temp 8-Months Contract)

Reports to: FWD Manager

Job Responsibilities

Handle sea import and export operations and coordinate with relevant parties to ensure shipments are processed smoothly.

• Receive booking and shipment information from customers, agents, and the Sales team. Check shipping schedules and arrange bookings with shipping lines and co-loaders.

• Check cargo status, receive arrival notices, and communicate with customers and partners to confirm shipment details and address inquiries.

• Prepare and process shipping documents, including SI, B/L, VGM, AWB, and AN, and update shipment information in the system.

• Track and file AMS, AFR, and FMC documentation, and submit ISF on time.

• Prepare CN and DN for customers and partners. Send shipping documents and pre-alerts to relevant partners.

• Monitor shipments until they arrive at their destination or delivery is completed.

• Arrange payments to shipping lines and suppliers, and prepare payment requests for customers. Support the Accounting team with customer debt collection when required.

• Proactively resolve operational issues and report them to the Team Leader or Department Manager when necessary.

• Respond to customer inquiries about services and freight rates, and suggest improvements to service quality when appropriate.

• Prepare periodic reports and perform other duties assigned by the direct manager.
