- Our online and in-person short courses include flagship programmes such as Sustainable Future, Startup & Innovation, and Public Speaking & Leadership, designed to develop skills ranging from environmental stewardship and entrepreneurship to communication and leadership.
- THE ROLE: We are seeking an experienced, Hanoi-based Academic Manager to lead curriculum design, quality assurance, teacher training, and overall academic delivery across our key Asia-Pacific study tour destinations: Singapore, China, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand.
- Working closely with regional Operations Managers, Camp Managers, Sales teams, and international school partners, the Academic Manager will ensure that all BlueSky academic frameworks, curricula, and teaching teams deliver a consistently high, world-class standard across all regional hubs.
- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
1. Curriculum Design & Regional Quality Standards
- Curriculum Development: Design, write, and continuously update skill-focused, experiential curricula (e.g., leadership, STEM, sustainability, entrepreneurship, ESL) for study tours across all 8 target markets.
- Regional Standardisation: Ensure academic quality, materials, and pedagogical approaches are standard, consistent, and adapted appropriately for diverse student cohorts across Singapore, China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand.
- Resource & Platform Management: Manage teaching resources, digital learning materials, LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle), and student workbooks for all regional destinations.
2. Teacher Recruitment, Training & Academic Operations
- Recruitment & Vetting: Recruit, interview, and onboard qualified seasonal teachers, guest lecturers, workshop facilitators, and academic contractors across regional hubs.
- Teacher Training & Mentorship: Lead comprehensive pre-programme training, briefing sessions, and ongoing pedagogical support for teaching staff across all operating countries.
- Academic Quality Assurance: Conduct online and on-site lesson observations, provide structured feedback, and run end-of-course performance evaluations for teaching staff.
- Class Planning & Allocation: Oversee student level testing, placement procedures, timetable creation, and staff/counsellor allocation according to class dynamics and course requirements.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration & Business Support
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with regional Operations Managers and Camp Managers to ensure smooth logistics-to-academic coordination.
- Sales & Client Engagement: Assist the Sales team in tailoring custom educational proposals, meeting school clients, and participating in ad-hoc familiarisation (FAM) trips in Hanoi or regional destinations.
- Partner Alignment: Provide academic briefings and support to accompanying school teachers, local partner schools, and institutional hosts.
