• Education: Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Architecture, or a related field (master’s degree is a plus).
• Experience: 7–10+ years of progressive experience in interior design, including 3–5 years in a managerial or team leadership role.
• Track Record: Proven history of successfully delivering a diverse portfolio of interior design projects (residential, commercial, hospitality, etc.).
• Technical Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Industry Expertise: Exceptional knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and FF&E specification.
• Leadership & Communication: Superior presentation, written, and verbal communication skills; fluent in English.
• Problem Solving: Strong organizational skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects under pressure.
• BIM / Revit Knowledge: Working knowledge or understanding of BIM (Building Information Modeling) principles and Revit workflows for interior design documentation and interdisciplinary coordination is an advantage.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Design Manager to lead and inspire our talented team of interior designers. The Design Manager will be responsible for overseeing all design projects from concept to completion, ensuring the highest standards of creativity, quality, and efficiency. This role requires a strong leader with exceptional design sensibilities, excellent project management skills, and a proven ability to mentor and develop design professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design Leadership & Vision:
o Develop and articulate the design vision for projects, ensuring alignment with client briefs and company standards.
o Lead the conceptualization and development of innovative and functional interior design solutions.
o Stay abreast of industry trends, materials, and technologies to ensure cutting-edge design approaches.
• Team Management & Development:
o Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of interior designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
o Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for professional growth.
o Allocate resources effectively to ensure optimal team productivity and project delivery.
• Project Oversight & Management:
o Oversee all stages of design projects, from initial concept development and space planning to material selection, FF&E specification, and construction documentation.
o Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
o Review and approve design presentations, drawings, and specifications.
o Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Client Relationship Management:
o Act as a primary point of contact for clients on design-related matters, building strong, lasting relationships.
o Present design concepts persuasively and professionally to clients.
o Address client feedback and ensure design solutions meet their specific needs and aspirations.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance
o Implement and maintain quality control procedures for all design deliverables.
o Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
