Senior Application Engineer

I. Company Overview:

II. Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical supports

- Receiving customers’ requests for products’ information and bidding, reviewing the technical requirements of customers.

- Designing the companies' products, selecting suitable equipment, datasheet, detailed drawings, technical requirements and evaluation.

- Directly working with the suppliers on the technical requirements of the product.

- Reviewing and checking the General Arrangement drawings of Pumps, technical parameters, categorizing equipment provided by the Firms and the ones purchased outside

- Providing technical consultancy for quotations and contracts.

- Supporting the E&I scope of bids and projects: selecting and sizing instrumentation and control products, preparing instrument datasheets and signal/power/hazardous-area requirements, and ensuring compatibility with customers' DCS/ESD/F&G and project specifications.

- Training other Application engineers in techniques (if needed)

- Tracking and participating in contract performance.

- Tracking production and delivery processes of suppliers.

- Checking the products’ quality before shipping to customers.

- Preparing and compiling technical documents required in bid proposals.

- Analyzing the drawings, categorizing equipment provided by the Principals or Supplier.

- Searching and suggesting to the supervisors to be able to choose a reputable, qualified supplier with the best price.

- Following the performance of the contracts and technically supporting promptly.

- Supporting customers in installing, repairing products and spare parts provided by Toan Thang.

- Searching and collecting information of the market and customers.

- Supporting Sales Department in collecting information of the market and customers.

- Consolidating and reporting market information and customers upon requests.

2. Trade support

- Participating in evaluating equipment prices and proposals for choosing equipment (Pumps…) so that can ensure the prices will not exceed the proposed range.

- Evaluating both prices and content of the trade terms in the quotation of suppliers (if any).

3. Contract execution support

- Joining the bid-to-execution handover: reviewing awarded contracts/POs, technical scope, deviations and exclusions, and clarifying them with customers, EPC contractors and the Project/Sales team.

- Tracking and participating in contract performance; following contract milestones and promptly providing technical support throughout execution.

- Preparing, submitting, and following up on vendor documents (datasheets, GA drawings, P&ID/loop mark-ups, calculations, material certificates, ITP, O&M manuals) and closing technical comments until approval by customers/EPC/consultants.

- Coordinating with Principals and suppliers on technical clarifications, design changes, and manufacturing schedules; tracking production and delivery processes of suppliers.

- Organizing and witnessing FAT/inspections (including third-party inspection), checking the products' quality and documentation (data book/MDR) before shipping to customers if needed.

- Supporting installation, commissioning, SAT, and start-up at site, punch-list closure, and warranty handling in coordination with the service team.

- Supporting the technical aspects of variation orders and claims, and reporting contract execution status and risks to the Sales Manager and management.

4. Other tasks:

- Performing other tasks as requested by the Company.

- Supporting in the projects and trainings appropriate to the workload and technicality.

- Attending classes / training courses organized by the Company / Principals, being willing to sign training contracts with the working period committed which is regulated in the Company's regulations when participating in the training courses.
