About This Role This role is responsible for managing quantity take-offs, BOQs, project budgets, quotations, purchasing activities, and cost control, while ensuring estimating processes are accurate, efficient, and aligned with project requirements. The position will also work closely with project management, construction teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and senior management to monitor project costs, identify commercial risks, and drive cost-saving opportunities. As a Team Leader, you will mentor and develop estimators and junior team members, support the growth of the offshore estimation team, improve estimating procedures and work instructions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of company systems and construction standards. The successful candidate will bring strong Australian construction estimating experience, leadership capability, commercial awareness, and a solid understanding of NCC, building regulations, construction documentation, and project cost management. Duties & Responsibilities Estimating & Budgeting • Manage and implement Quantity takeoff using software and manual takeoff methods. • Prepare Bill of Quantities and Budget using estimation software. • Prepare scope of work to obtain quotations by analyzing the building specification and drawings. • Obtain quotations and check against the scope of work and prepare a comparison table. • Issue purchase orders • Prepare a drill box to identify the document issues. • Document drill box meeting actions and ensure changes and improvement implemented. • Monitor project budget vs actual, submit monthly report to management • Assist the general manager in checking sales estimates for complex projects • Assist the project management team to obtain competitive quotations and product information • Assist Senior management to drive efficiency and cost savings across the business. Team Management • Manage and mentor the estimators and junior members in the BOQ and ordering process • Manage and mentor the estimators and junior members in the contract administration process • Assist with managing and developing offshore estimation and budgeting team to increase onshore performance capacity • Assist with developing training manuals and work instructions for offshore and junior team members. • Attend various business and project meetings with senior project team to meet targets. • Participate in managing key suppliers and subcontractor relationships to develop strong stakeholder relationships to enable all projects to be delivered smoothly and on time. • Participate in finalizing and negotiating with the head contractors for the critical project portfolio. • Develop streamlined policy and procedure of RFI’s, EOT’s, variations, PC/PI • Review and analyze project budget vs. actual variance and provide cost control solutions and value management to the team and the management. • Working closely with the construction team to adhere to project programs, deadlines, and budgets • Participating in business risk management, including managing team resource, identifying incorrect budgets/costs allocation, sourcing suitable contractors, and negotiating rates to control project costs to meet business targets and monitor business KPI performance. Continuous Improvement • Assist with developing Westurban construction standard documentation/ Guidelines • Assist the department manager in mentoring and training junior team members • Assist with sourcing and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors and finalize the most favorable solution for Westurban • Attend and participate in management meetings, initiate and implement improvements • Assist with marketing and communication to promote company projects and build strong market reputation and branding • Work with various teams on Westurban award projects to improve project finishes, control construction cost and obtain suppliers and subcontractors’ support • Participate in the development of company policies and procedures, implement systems. - Purchasing and Estimating policy and procedure - Project Management methodology - OH&S Documentation - Quality Management System - Project Specification • Ngày làm việc: • Giờ làm việc: • Cấp bậc: • Loại công việc:
